At Yoga Sadhana, students learn through a carefully graded and systematic programme of asana (posture) that is developed by our mentor and teacher trainer. Yoga Sadhana gives emphasis on progressive learning. The system of teaching at Yoga Sadhana is methodical and progressive, emphasising detailed alignment and absolute safety. Practicing yoga in correct and precise alignment has proven remarkable success in the treatment of a wide range of medical conditions, ranging from skeleto-muscular through to the emotional.
The unique and functional use of yoga props at Yoga Sadhana facilitates learning and helps with adjustment in yoga postures according to individual needs. Therefore, it helps you overcome and prevents many stresses and strains to the body. Essentially, it promotes a firm foundation for holistic health and well-being. As we always emphasize “every asana is the therapy itself if it is taught and practice correctly”
Pranayama and Dhyana (Breath Control & Meditation) is gradually introduced once students have a consistent practice of yoga asana. Yoga practice both relaxes and energises the body and mind. It brings vitality, flexibility, strength, concentration, self-confidence and mental calm. Yoga is suitable for all types of people at all levels of fitness and ages.
Yoga Sadhana is dedicated to the teachings of Advaita Vedanta philosophy, embracing the teachings of the Upanisads through the voice of the Rishis as the way of life. Our inspiration is Bagawan Shri Ramana Maharishi of Arunachala. His method of Atma vicharana (self-enquiry) is our motto.
